Sobriety Checkpoints

Sobriety checkpoints are an enforcement activity where officers are set up on a roadway to randomly stop vehicles to check for impaired drivers and other illegal activities. These are usually set up during high risk times of use such as holiday weekends or during large events. Sobriety checkpoints are supported by over 71% of North Dakota community members (ND CRS, 2015).
